Meet Scott Gordon
Growing up, Scott’s grandmother sparked his own creative journey through art, but it was with wood that he discovered his true passion. From weekend projects with his father to formal education in woodshop, architecture, and engineering, his love for crafting with wood flourished over forty years, culminating in the establishment of Lazy SA Woodcrafts in 2017.
Whether it’s a signature charcuterie board, a carved bowl, or custom furniture for your home, Lazy SA Woodcrafts is dedicated to delivering well-crafted, personalized showpieces that complement your style.
Our custom furniture process begins with a detailed discussion to understand your functional and aesthetic preferences. We then translate these ideas to the drawing table, refining the design through renderings and hand-drawn plans. Once the final design is approved, we bring your vision to life in our workshop.
We take pride in sourcing locally grown and sustainably harvested materials, including Douglas Fir, Juniper, Pine, and hardwoods from reputable local vendors. Every piece is meticulously crafted, and we strive to utilize every scrap of lumber, resulting in a diverse catalog of products.
At Lazy SA Woodcrafts, sustainability extends beyond our creations. Our sawdust and shavings are composted, contributing to our garden, where we grow fruit and vegetables for friends and family. Additionally, we proudly support local businesses and conservation efforts in the Blackfoot Valley, partnering with organizations like The Big Blackfoot Chapter of Trout Unlimited, The Blackfoot Challenge, and The Blackfoot Community Conservation Area.
Join us at Lazy SA Woodcrafts, where every creation tells a story of craftsmanship, sustainability, and a passion for the beauty found in wood.

At Lazy SA Woodcrafts, we tailor the finish to both the desired look the customer is seeking and the function of the piece. We strive to enhance the beauty and character of the wood. We utilize a variety of oils, stains, varnishes and epoxies.
Turnaround times vary greatly from piece to piece. As part of the design phase of your piece, we will develop a timeline. Variables affecting the length of a project include wood species availability, size and complexity of the project and desired finish. Many finishes require several days between coats to allow for proper curing.
At Lazy SA Woodcrafts, we prioritize cost-effective shipping solutions for our customers. This commitment is reflected in our flat-rate shipping charges, ranging from $10 to $50, depending on the price of your selected item. For purchases exceeding $200, Scott will personally discuss the optimal shipping method tailored to your location. Additionally, you have the flexibility to choose the complimentary option of picking up your product, ensuring a convenient and budget-friendly experience.
As all of our larger projects are custom orders, Lazy SA Woodcrafts does not have a showroom to display projects. We do participate in numerous craft shows and sales throughout the year to showcase the smaller wares available in our online store. A working woodshop can be a dangerous setting, so shop visits are discouraged but private showings can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
At Lazy SA Woodcrafts, we pride ourselves in providing high quality craftsmanship and we stand behind our work. Please contact us if you are concerned that your product isn’t in the condition it should be.
Refunds are not offered unless products are damaged during shipping. Damaged products must be reported within 14 days for a refund or replacement. Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs. For other concerns, refunds or remedies are decided on a case-by-case basis.
